Where excellence is a habit

Students will be exposed to a variety of literary works.  We will be engaged in discussion of such works related to social and political issues as well as ethical and cultural ideas.  Students will be refining their own style of writing through assigned essays, which will be comprised of the writing process, including: prewriting, rough drafts, peer editing, and final drafts.  Students will also be engaged in the practice of creative writing. 

Students are responsible for assigned readings in novels, short stories, and other written works.  Students will be involved in group and individual activities, including larger culminating projects throughout the year.  It is my hope that we can all work as a team in order to make this class an interesting  and fulfilling part of your education.
